Honda Thailand has showcased the 2017 Honda CBR 650F at the Bangkok International Motor Show. The bike was unveiled at EICMA 2016 with several mechanical and small cosmetic changes.
The 2017 Honda CBR650F gets a new intake and exhaust system. The stock 4-in-1 exhaust setup now utilises a dual pass internal structure in place of a triple pass. The chassis has been re-tuned to be stiffer
around the headstock and flexible towards the spar.
The Honda CBR650F is suspended over 41 mm Showa dual bending front forks while the rear gets the same mono shock with 7 preloads. The bike tips the scales at 211 kg and has a large 17.3-litre fuel tank. The unit showcased at BIMS 2017 also gets an aftermarket exhaust by Moriwaki Engineering.
The powertrain is 649 cc in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 89.8 bhp of maximum power and 64 Nm of peak torque. Honda adds that they have worked on the mid-range and the power delivery will be noticeable after 5,000 rpm.
The 2017 Honda CBR650F also gets a swanky LED headlamp setup instead of the halogen seen in the outgoing model.
