Update - A new spyshot of the Thailand specification Toyota C-HR has emerged from its road testing in the country on Headlight Mag. It is speculated that the Thai plant may not produce the C-HR until early next year. An earlier report had a senior TAM official saying that the production of the C-HR in the neighbouring country of Indonesia was a possibility.

The C-HR measures 4,360 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width and 1,565 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,640 mm.

The C-HR (Coupe High Rider) is Toyota’s second model to be based on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) modular platform, first being the new Prius. It measures 4,360 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width and 1,565 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,640 mm.

For European and Japanese markets, the Toyota C-HR is available with the two powertrain options: a regular 8NR-FTS 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and 2ZR-FXE 1.8L petrol-electric hybrid. The 1.2-litre engine can be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT, while the hybrid option is only available with a CVT. The car is manufactured and exported from Turkey.

Toyota hasn't yet confirmed production of the C-HR in Thailand, but it could make an announcement at the end of this month during its annual press conference. If so, Thailand will also likely serve as an export base of the C-HR for RHD markets.
