The 2017 Hyundai Verna has made its world debut at the 2016 Chengdu Motor Show today. It will go on sale in China first, before entering other markets like India in 2017.
The 2017 Hyundai Verna measures 4,380 mm long, 1,728 mm wide, 1,460 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. It features an all new exterior styling inspired by Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, comprising of a large hexagonal grille, sleek headlamps with projector lighting, LED DRLs, sportier bumpers with angular foglamps, LED taillamps, redesigned C-pillar and a moulded spoiler.
The interior has also been revealed, incorporating design cues from cars like the new Hyundai Elantra. The China-spec model has an all-black interior with silver trim around the center console and HVAC vents, automatic climate control, 8 inch touchscreen AVN system and start/stop button.

The 2017 Hyundai Verna will offer an option between 1.4- or 1.6-liter petrol engines developing 100 hp and 123 hp respectively in China. A 6-speed manual is standard, while a 6-speed automatic gearbox is available as an option. For India, the next-gen Verna will also offer 1.4- and 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engines.
