Indian launch of the non-hybrid variants set to take place next year.
The 2017 Honda Jazz (facelift) has made its world debut in Malaysia just days after its JDM-spec version was revealed digitally. The facelifted model was previewed in the hybrid variant, and live images published by Paultan give the first up-close look at the car.
Malaysia is the first market after Japan to get the facelift of the third generation Honda Jazz with a hybrid powertrain. Under the hood rests the Dual-Clutch Drive (i-DCD) system that combines a new 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which has an inbuilt electric motor. The combustion engine develops 110 PS and 134 Nm of torque, while the electric motor chips in 29.5 PS and 160 Nm of torque. The system output is rated at 137 PS.
The 2017 Honda Jazz showcased in Malaysia gets different design bumpers and (dual-tone) alloy wheels compared to the JDM-spec 2017 Honda Jazz. It also features new chrome front grille, half-leather seats and multi-angle reverse camera. Honda hasn't revealed the complete specifications of the new model yet.

The 2017 Honda Jazz is expected to go on sale in both 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre petrol-electric models in Malaysia in Q2 2017. The hybrid variant's deliveries should commence in Q3 2017.
A report from last week says the Indian launch of the new model will not take place this year.
