USA-spec all-new 5er enters production in November.
The 2017 BMW 5 Series (BMW G30) is set to have its world premiere in the coming days, and just ahead its debut, its ordering guide for the U.S. market has surfaced online. The U.S.-spec seventh-gen BMW 5 Series will enter production in November 2016.
The U.S.-spec 2017 BMW 5 Series will be available in four models at launch: 530i, 530i xDrive, 540i and 540i xDrive. Noteworthy standard features of the 2017 5 Series are, LED headlights, LED fog lights, 18-inch double-spoke wheels, moonroof, sport seats, Fineline Ridge wood trim and navigation system.
Many features and packages are available optionally. One of them, is Driver Assistance Plus II, which brings semi-autonomous driving tech to the all-new 5er. It includes ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Active Lane Keeping Assistant with side collision avoidance, Traffic Jam Assistant and Active Lane Change, and can be opted for all four models.
Alpine White and Jet Black will be the standard colour choices. Carbon Black Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, Cashmere Silver Metallic, Glacier Silver Metallic, Imperial Blue Metallic, Dark Graphite Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Jatoba Brown Metallic, Mediterranean Blue metallic, Atlas Cedar Metallic and Bluestone metallic will be available optionally.

The 530i and 530i xDrive are powered by B46O engine which is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline unit, while the 540i and 540i xDrive are powered by the B58M engine which is a 3.0-liter gasoline unit. A Sport Automatic Transmission will be standard across the range.
