Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj, confirmed the new range in an interview last month.
He said -
I am very pleased to say that we are going to launch between now and December, the 2017 range of the Pulsar, so significant change there in both their appearance and performance.
The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220F features a new dual tone scheme. Its exhaust is given the matte-black look, which along with the rim decals, adds a sporty flavour to the semi-faired bike. The exhaust additionally gets chrome highlighting.
The other notable changes are the replacement of the auto-choke with a manual unit and the blue instrument console lighting.
The motorcycle will continue with the 220 cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke, DTS-i engine, which will be upgraded to meet BS4 regulation. Reports speculate that the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar range will improve its power and torque delivery, and offer higher fuel efficiency. Currently it produces 21.05 @ 8500 (PS @ RPM) and 19.12 @ 7000 (Nm @ RPM).
