New Bajaj VS400 will also launch in November.
Speaking to MoneyControl, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, said that the company has "four very significant launches in October and November" this year.
Mr. Bajaj is quoted saying -
I am very pleased to say that we are going to launch between now and December, the 2017 range of the Pulsar, so significant change there in both their appearance and performance.
While Mr. Bajaj did not elaborate further, the announced changes to performance and appearance confirm that the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar range will not be a sticker job with the addition of merely new color tones and body graphics, but engine updates are also on the anvil.
The most logical update on the powertrain front is the upgrade from the present BS-3 emission norms to BS-4. The Pulsar range (Bajaj Pulsar 135LS, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Bajaj Pulsar 180, Bajaj Pulsar 220, Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Bajaj Pulsar 200NS and Bajaj Pulsar AS) is powered by single-cylinder DTS-i engines, which, when upgraded to BS-4 could deliver better fuel efficiency and improved power/torque figures.

Bajaj could also introduce ABS and CBS (Combi Braking System) on these models given that the Indian government has mandated these safety features on all motorcycles displacing 125 cc and above (for two-wheelers displacing 125 cc and less, CBS is mandatory) from April 2017 (April 2018 in case of existing models).
