The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS in 2017 has a more competition to fight with as against its original iteration.
A report in Car and Bike claims that the Bajaj Auto has commenced sales of the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. Bajaj had last week released a teaser image of the motorcycle confirming the bike’s return.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS was discontinued in 2015 to give mileage to the newer Pulsars, the AS 200 and RS200. With volumes of both models disappointing, the Pulsar 200NS is making a much-needed comeback with a BSIV compliant engine and new graphics.
Colour options include three new shades spotted so far, Red, Black and White, all contrasted with a dull grey. The bike also gets new stickers on the tank extension. The 199.5 cc mill will be coupled to the same 6-speed gearbox. It is capable of producing 23.52 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm.
The Indian version will most probably continue to be a carburetted version. The European unit, including the motorcycle showcased at a dealer event in Turkey, gets fuel injection. There have also been reports of a possible ABS variant of the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. However, none of the units spotted so far have an ABS ring.
The report goes on to add that the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS has a sticker price of INR 96,453 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Expect an official word from Bajaj Auto any day now.
