The Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS gets an engine derived from the KTM Duke 200.

With the bike set to make an official comeback any day now, new spy shots of the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS have emerged via BikeAdvice. Interestingly, a small sticker on the bike reads JLA/K4 N ABS, which means that Bajaj might just be planning to introduce an ABS version of the Pulsar 200NS as well.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS gets new graphics and a BSIV compliant engine.

Strangely, the bike does not sport an ABS ring which might only mean that the alphabets ‘N ABS’ might be an internal code for ‘Non-ABS’. However, this does point out to the fact that there might be an ABS version as well.

Unlike the Bajaj Dominar 400, Bajaj might bring a single-channel ABS in the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. Bajaj had earlier used a single-channel ABS in the Pulsar RS 200 to cut costs.

The powertrain is the same 199.5 cc single cylinder mill with triple spark technology. The Pulsar 200NS was Bajaj’s first motorcycle with three spark plugs. The company claims that two extra spark plugs help in increasing the fuel efficiency of the bike. The engine is capable of producing 23.52 PS of maximum power and 18.3 Nm of peak torque.

While the European markets get the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS with fuel injection, the Indian version might continue with a carburettor.

The sticker on the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS might mean 'Non-ABS' but that does point out to the fact that an ABS version could be on the cards.

Expect the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS to launch with a price tag around INR 1 lakh any day now.
