The 2017 Land Rover Discovery has been spied testing yet again, courtesy PistonHeads. The all-new Land Rover Discovery is apparently featuring a production body in these spyshots.
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery hasn't been a mystery, when it comes to its exterior design. The Land Rover Discovery will enter its fifth generation adopting the latest family design seen on the Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover and the Land Rover Discovery Sport. The stepped roof for "stadium seating" for seven people is here to stay.
The company previewed its idea of the next-gen Land Rover Discovery with the Land Rover Discovery Vision concept in 2014, and spyshots have confirmed that the production version remains largely the same as the concept. Built on the PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) platform like the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, the all-new Discovery will be available with a number of 2.0- and 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options globally. Electrification is expected to be limited to only mild-hybrid systems, at least in the initial phase.

The 2017 Land Rover Discovery could debut at the 2016 LA Auto Show in November. The next-gen Discovery will likely be launched in Europe towards the end of the year and in North America and other regions starting in H1 2017. It will be built alongside the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport at the Solihull plant in England.
