Will be launched in India later this year.
The upcoming Range Rover Evoque Convertible has been spied in India for the first time. A test mule of the open-top crossover being transported via a flatbed truck was spotted by IAB reader Tijo Joy. A license check of the test mule which bears UK registration plates reveals that it's powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine, which should probably be the 2.0-litre Si4 turbocharged four-cylinder unit that makes 240 PS (237 hp) and 340 Nm of torque.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible will be available in only one trim level - HSE Dynamic. Only one engine will be available, the aforementioned 2.0-litre Si4 turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit good for 240 PS (237 hp) and 340 Nm of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission to send power to the wheels and a four-wheel drive system to distribute the power between them will be standard. In this configuration, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible can reach 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 209 km/h.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is the world’s most capable all-terrain convertible as per Land Rover’s claims. The soft-top features the Z-fold mechanism and with that, its fully-automated roof stows in 18 seconds and can be raised in 21 seconds, at speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h). The convertible version debuts the company's new generation InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, which will be available with an all-new high-resolution 10.2-inch touchscreen display.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible will reportedly be launched in India later this year. It will be imported via the CBU route.
