Heavy chrome usage with a Lexus-like grille observed.
The front-end of the 2016 Toyota Fortuner has been revealed in a new spyshot from Headlight Magazine. Earlier the nose of the 2016 Toyota Hilux (the pickup on the same platform) was leaked, and both models, unlike the current generation, will have more individuality in the next gen.
The 2016 Fortuner's headlamps are slimmer and sharper, while the dense chrome grille is complemented by chrome usage on the foglight enclosure.
The design is likened to the Lexus' philosophy and 'Spindle Grille' with the report stating that a Lexus-like design would make the SUV look more premium than the pickup version.
While we await confirmation, reports say that new diesel engines will be seen on the new gen Fortuner along with petrol units, paired to manual and automatic gearboxes with 2WD and 4WD options.
