The interior of the 2016 Mercedes E Class combines design cues borrowed from the Mercedes S Class and C Class. The upper section of the dashboard appears to be inspired from the Mercedes S Class, featuring two 12.1 inch displays for the driver and the COMAND infotainment system, four air vents in the center, and a flowing dashboard design.
The center console is inspired by the C Class, and houses sleek buttons for the climate system controls and an analogue clock. It also comes with ambient lighting that use LEDs to spruce up the interior with one of the 64 available colors, as well as an optional Burmester 3D surround sound system with 23 speakers.

The engine lineup has not been officially divulged yet, although reports suggest that it will be offered with 2.0-liter four cylinder petrol and diesel engines, 3.0-liter in-line six cylinder petrol and diesel units and a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 option in the top-end AMG 63 variant.
Following its world premiere in January, the 2016 Mercedes E Class is likely to begin arriving in India towards the end of 2016. It could be introduced as a CBU model first, before being locally assembled at the company’s plant in Pune.
