The 2016 Lexus LX570 is expected to be launched globally in the coming months and the latest pictures of the top-spec variant have emerged from a yard, providing yet another look at the facelift.
The fascia has the domineering spindle-shaped grille outlined in chrome with horizontal slats. These are flanked by the swept-back headlamps incorporating LED units and L-shaped LED DRLs; with the lower end getting vertically-stacked fog lamps. The sides get new alloy wheels, foot step and a kink on the reworked D-pillar. The rear end now features angular lights with L-shaped DRLs, a bigger spoiler and chrome embellishments over the lights and license-plate housing.
The design of the 2016 Lexus LX570 is an evolution over the previous generation taking its inspiration from the latest Lexus vehicles, particularly the Lexus NX. The interior has been lavished with wood and chrome, the AC vents are smaller with the dashboard getting a small analog clock. A three-spoke steering wheel, redesigned instrument cluster, large Enform infotainment display (that can be navigated using a mouse controller on the center tunnel) are other visible changes.
The rear seats seem to have received larger screens for entertainment system. Lexus is also likely to bring the Safety System+ suite of driver aids to this model which includes Pre-collision System with pedestrian detection function (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB) and Radar Cruise Control. A head-up display unit could also be offered on the MY2016.
