Borrows cues from new Optima, Sorento and Sedona.
A reported dashboard image of the 2016 Kia Sportage has been leaked in a Korean magazine, revealing the final design and changes in equipment offered. The final production spec car is expected to be revealed in full in September 2015, just months after the launch of its sister model, the Hyundai Tucson.
The leaked image reveals a premium interior that is step-up from the basic look of the outgoing model. The steering wheel is similar to the unit in the new Kia Optima, right down to the handsfree call functions, volume controls, UVO Infotainment System, and cruise control. The central HVAC vents and the 7-inch touchscreen display sitting in between look nearly identical to the latest Kias. The dashboard shot also reveals a handle grip that flows from the center console to the transmission tunnel.
Exterior wise, the 2016 Kia Sportage will feature a new design that borrow cues from the Kia KX3. Like the latest Kias, the front end has the "Tiger nose” grille flanked by LED headlamps, similar to the set in the new Sorento or pro_cee’d GT. New LED taillights with separate reverse lights complete the highlights at the rear.

The fourth generation Kia Sportage will offer an engine lineup that includes the all new 1.2 T-GDI turbo engine, a base 1.6 GDI, and a 1.7 CRDI diesel for the European market. It will most likely be paired to Kia’s new 7-speed DCT transmission for better fuel efficiency and quick shift times.
