The 2016 Jaguar XF's specifications and features have been officially revealed for India. The second generation Jaguar XF made its Indian debut at Auto Expo 2016 in February and will be launched in the country this month.
It will be available in two engine variants in India: 20d and 25t. The XF 20d is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 132 kW at 4,000 rpm and 430 Nm of torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm. The 25t model sports a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 177 kW at 5,500 rpm and 340 Nm of torque at 1,750-4,000 rpm.
The 20d and 25t models are rear-wheel drive and have an 8-speed automatic transmission routing power to the wheels. The 20d model will be available in Pure, Prestige and Portfolio trim levels, while the 25t model will be available only in Prestige and Portfolio trim levels.
Noteworthy features of the 2016 Jaguar XF include adaptive LED headlights featuring 'J' blade LED daytime running lights, Jaguar F-Type-inspired LED tail lights, 12.3-inch HD Virtual Instrument Display, InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10.2-inch touchscreen display and 17-speaker, 825 kW Meridian Surround Sound System.
The new Jaguar XF is based on the aluminium-intensive iQ platform, and 190 kg lighter than the previous generation model.
