Showcased to the public for the second time.
Three units of the third generation Hyundai Tucson were showcased at three different malls in Malaysia simultaneously, to preview the SUV's new exterior and interior colour options.
All three cars have distinct exterior-interior colour combinations, and all of them seem to be the top-spec model. This is the second public appearance of the 2016 Tucson in Malaysia, before Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) launches the car most likely next month.
The three colour combinations on the 2016 Hyundai Tucson are blue exterior with black cabin, white exterior with red interior, and vice versa of the latter.
The blue-black Tucson gets black leather-wrapped seats (with honeycomb design stitching on the inner section of the seats) while the white-red model gets a similar honeycomb seat pattern but the upholstery and various trims in the cabin are bright red in colour.
The red-white version gets a different seat upholstery design unlike the other two, and the upper portions of the seat backs (of all seats) sport a quilted design for a richer look.
For Malaysia, the Tucson is expected with a 2.0-liter MPi petrol engine capable of 155 PS and 192 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

For India, reports indicate that the company is considering a product on the Tucson platform to fill a potential gap between the Creta and the Santa Fe.
