Was confirmed to launch on October 24.
The 2016 Hyundai Tucson was confirmed to launch for sale on October 24; however, Overdrive reports that HMIL has pushed back the launch to November. A new date is yet to be confirmed.
Hyundai officials haven't provided a reason for the delay, but Overdrive believes that the company is garnering a good amount of bookings for the Hyundai Elantra, and they may not want to break that momentum by bringing in the Tucson SUV, which will slot in the same price bracket as the sedan.
The new Tucson will slot between the Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Creta, targeting customers looking for a premium mid-size SUV. It will be locally assembled, so as to price the 2016 Tucson competitively. It’s expected to range between INR 17 lakhs and INR 22 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
