Next generation Hyundai Equus spotted in South Korea - Spied

The next generation Hyundai Equus is reported to be spotted for the first time in its production form. The vehicle that sits at the top of Hyundai's lineup (not available in India) and rivals cars like the BMW 7 series, Jaguar XJ, etc., could be unveiled in the first half of this year adds a report by The Korean Car Blog.

The brand will reach its third generation with the 2016 Equus, and hopes to build on the areas of design, technology and modern powertrains. The next generation vehicle is expected to feature an all new lightweight platform, hi-tech features, improved build, and modern powertrain, adds the report.

Talking about powertrain, the report goes on to mention that there will be a new V8 engine and all-wheel drive on offer on the next generation Equus. Details on the luxury sedan are still scarce, but one can expect Hyundai's Fluidic Version 2.0 design language to inspire the design of the car.

Hyundai doesn't sell its luxury cars like the Equus or even the Genesis in India, however, the latter is being considered for the market and was also recently showcased.
