Could be powered by the new 1.6L T-GDI engine.
The Korean web claim that the car here is the next generation 2016 Hyundai Elantra/2016 Hyundai Avante (codename - Hyundai AD), which going by a recent report, will be unveiled at the carmaker's home market next month. Based on a new platform, the 2016 Elantra is expected to grace Hyundai showrooms in Korea during mid-2015.
As the image shows, designers have opted for a revolutionary styling, with strong resemblance to the Hyundai i40 facelift which was revealed in December 2014, though there is enough to suggest that the cars are different.
A large trapezoidal grille with equally large airdams and vertical LED daytime running lights give the new Elantra a mature look, over the 'swoopy' current generation fluidic model. It is likely to have been designed at the Hyundai Motor European design center in Rüsselsheim, Germany.
Power for the new Elantra would come from four-cylinder diesel engines, and possibly the new 1.6-liter T-GDI petrol engine seen on the new Tucson. This new unit, which develops 176 PS, is available with a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission or a 6-speed manual.
