Could be the 220 Street variant.
Bajaj Auto has announced the launch of a new product on October 27, which is believed to be the 2016 Bajaj Avenger. The company had earlier disclosed that three new variants of the 2016 Avenger are planned for introduction this month.
The three versions of the 2016 Avenger are - 220 Street, 220 Cruise and Avenger 150. The 220cc variants have been spied testing already, while the entry-level model is yet to be seen.
The Bajaj 220 Street is a restyled version that appears to have taken inspiration from the Harley Davidson Street 750. The underlying characteristics stand true to the nameplate while the appeal and function are tweaked for city riding. The model features a full black theme, and adds alloy wheels to the cruiser for the first time, while the sizeable windshield, useful for touring, is given a miss.
The 220 Street is powered by the familiar 220 cc single-cylinder DTS-i engine. It does duty on the existing Avenger, producing 19.03 PS at 8,400 rpm and 17.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It is unclear if the motor will have a different tune on the 2016 Avenger.
