The 2016 Bajaj Avenger 220 was spied at a dealership before its launch on October 27. The unit is the 220 Cruise variant of the 2016 Avenger, which features a high-set handlebar, a reworked instrument cluster, a new exhaust can and updated body graphics.
The Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise is one of three distinct variants of the 2016 Avenger set for launch in the near future. The second model is the Avenger 220 Street that has already been spied, and the third version is the yet to be seen Avenger 150. It is unclear if Bajaj will launch more than one variant of the new Avenger during its 'new product launch' event later this month.
Bajaj Auto is currently selling around 3,600 units of its cruiser every month, which is offered in only one variant. With the introduction of three different models on the 2016 Avenger, one of which puts the nameplate in a significantly more affordable price segment, the company aims to sell 8,000-9,000 units every month.
