Based on an all-new platform, the tenth generation Civic sedan is 2 inches wider and 1.2 inches longer in wheelbase, while resting 1 inch lower than its predecessor. The 2016 model is also the first Civic to come equipped with optional LED headlights, whereas LED taillights are a standard fitment.
Ditching its predecessor's split layout dashboard for a conventionally oriented one, the 2016 Civic is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A part digital instrument cluster, steering mounted audio controls, cruise control, Honda's lane assist system, an E-CON driving mode and an electronic parking brake are some of the features observed on the inside of the 2016 Civic.
The 2016 Civic will be available with two engine options for the American market. A 2.0-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder and a 1.5-liter Turbo VTEC four-cylinder engine are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox.
