The all-new 2016 Jaguar XF which made its international debut at the New York Auto Show in April this year, goes on sale this month in the UK at a starting price of 32,300 pounds (INR 32,96,768 OTR) for the Prestige variant. The new XF is available in Prestige, R-Sport and Portfolio trims in its launch market, the company has announced.
Under the bonnet, the 2.0-liter 'Ingenium' diesel engine develops 163 bhp and 380 Nm on the base variant while the higher variants get 180 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. A twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel is offered that produces 300 bhp and 700 Nm, and the range-topping 3.0-liter V6 supercharged petrol variant generates 380 bhp and 450 Nm of pulling power.
All the engines will be paired with an 8-speed automatic while the smaller 2.0-liter also has the option of a 6-speed manual.
Interiors are loaded with features such as a 10.2-inch InControl Touch Pro infotainment system running on a quad-core processor equipped with a solid state drive (SSD). The instrument cluster gets a big 12.3-inch TFT screen and the audio system is a 825-watt Meridian surround sound system with 17 speakers.
Another technology in the new XF is the use of full-LED headlamps that is a first for Jaguar.
