Hyundai has announced a facelift for its premium hatchback, the Elantra GT, which brings updated visual and technical features, further improving its appeal in the segment. The Elantra GT is a rebadged i30.
The 2016 Elantra GT comes with an updated front 6-point honeycomb grille with horizontal chrome slats, and new 17 inch alloy rim designs. Inside, the facelift focuses on improving both creature comforts and multimedia features.
It now comes with an option of ventilated driver and passenger seats, which Hyundai claims is a "segment first", a new BlueLink infotainment system with an updated navigation software and Apple Siri integration.
Hyundai has dropped the 1.8-liter Nu four-cylinder engine, which was available on the previous model. The 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT is now fitted with a revised 2.0-liter Nu engine that produces 173 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 208.7 Nm of torque at a 4,700 rpm. It comes paired to a choice of either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, which drives the front wheels only.

It will go on sale from March 2015, starting at a price tag of $18,800 (INR 11.67 Lakhs), excluding $825 freight charge.
