Minor cosmetic and engine updates for Porsche's flagship SUV.
The refreshed lineup of the Porsche Cayenne SUV is seen for the first time at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Porsche has displayed at its stall the facelifted Cayenne, and the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, the latter celebrating its world premiere.
Exterior changes come in the form of a new grille and bumpers, active shutters to improve the aerodynamics of the car, new contouring on the bonnet, tweaked headlights and taillights, and a new number plate holder at the rear. Porsche will offer Xenon lights as a standard fitment on the refreshed Cayenne, while LED lights can be ticked as an option.
Inside, the SUV gets a 918-like steering wheel and the rear seats can now be ordered with ventilation.
Mechanically, the Cayenne sees minor improvements. The diesel engines - the 3.0-liter V6 and the 4.2-liter V8 - get a bump up in their power figures, while the petrol range sees the replacement of the 4.8-liter naturally-aspirated V8 with the Macan's 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6.
The S E-Hybrid makes use of a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine along with an electric motor to deliver (410.14 bhp) and 590 Nm of torque. It has an all-electric range of up to 36 km.
The refreshed Cayenne is expected to launch in India next year.
