Dealerships stock the new i20 ahead of its August 11 launch.
Indian Autos Blog reader, Sandeep, has spotted the upcoming 2015 Hyundai Elite i20 recently at a stockyard. Hyundai India, whose dealers started pre-launch bookings for the car on August 1, have announced that the new i20 will launch on August 11.
The second generation i20 uses Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture V2.0 design language, and was styled by the company's European design center located in Rüsselsheim, Germany. These images like many others posted previously, show that the hatchback gets a long bonnet, blackened out C-Pillars and LED taillights.
Inside, the new generation Elite i20 builds on the success of its predecessor by offering a feature-rich cabin. Some of the features spotted include a multifunction steering wheel, engine starter button, electrically-adjustable and folding wing mirrors, an integrated music system with Bluetooth, MP3, AUX-in, USB, an electrochromatic rear view mirror, reverse camera and parking sensors, automatic climate control and rear AC vents.
The engine options would continue largely unchanged, though reports say that an automatic transmission will not be offered on the 1.4-liter petrol (it will instead get a manual gearbox).
