Expected to launch in India this year.
The 2015 Honda CR-V facelift, revealed late last year in Thailand, has been launched in Malaysia, priced at RM 139,800 onward (INR 23.8 lakh). Expected to be launched in India this year, the vehicle gets cosmetic updates while keeping the mechanicals same as the outgoing version. An additional 2-litre 2WD variant is added to the Malaysian line up as well.
On the outside, the vehicle gets new headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, and redesigned grille and bumper. Side profile remains largely unchanged, while the rear gets restyled taillamps and bumper, and added chrome garnish.
On the inside, the facelift gets dual zone climate control, Bluetooth-enabled audio system with control on the steering, 7-inch touchscreen unit (with navigation of the 2.4-litre version), leather seats, etc. Features include HID headlamps, four airbags (six for the 2.4-litre version), ABS, stability assist, hill start assist, and reverse camera.
Two engine options are available: a 2-litre i-VTEC that makes 153 hp at 6,500 rpm and 190 Nm at 4,300 rpm, and a 2.4-litre i-VTEC that makes 188 hp at 7,000 rpm and 222 Nm of torque 4,400 rpm. The former is available in both 2WD (front-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) versions while the latter is all-wheel drive version only. Both engines come mated to 5-speed automatic gearboxes.
Prices for the 2015 Honda CR-V facelift start at RM 139,800 (INR 23.8 lakh) for the 2-litre 2WD version, RM 150,800 (INR 25.75 lakh) for the 2-litre AWD, and RM 169,800 (INR 29 lakh) for the 2.4-litre engined version.
Apart from this, Honda HR-V compact SUV, which was showcased as part of a road show, will reach the Malaysian market next month. Bookings for the same have begun already, as reported earlier.
