Although the global Chevrolet Cruze has already stepped into the next generation, GM China is retaining the first generation model with a new facelift, and badging it the "Cruze Classic". However, based on a new spyshot, the exclusivity of the facelifted model will extend to Thailand as well.
Identical to the Chinese Cruze Classic, the models, spied on a transporter, sport Malibu-inspired taillamps with U-Shaped detailing, reskinned boot lid, a new rear bumper with a registration plate enclosure and a chrome strip above it.
The engine lineup for the Thai-spec 2015 Cruze haven't been confirmed yet. Being a facelift, it will likely retain the 2.0-liter VCDi diesel engine producing 163 horsepower at 3,800 rpm and 360 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm, and a 1.8-liter ECOTEC delivering 141 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and a maximum torque output of 177 Nm at 3,800 rpm.

The entry level engine is a 1.6-litre ECOTEC motor that provides a 109 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, although the Chinese-spec Cruze Classic replaced this engine with a 109 hp 1.5-liter unit. All three engines are paired to a 6-speed auto transmission.
The interior and equipment are likely to be left unchanged with some notable gadgets including multi-function steering wheel, auto rain sensor, engine starter button, auto headlamps, keyless entry, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, TCS and ESP.
