The new Honda Jazz will be going on sale in Indonesia on June 26 with a hitherto unknown top end variant called the Jazz RSZ joining the lineup.
Autonetmagz.com presents a leaked image showing the variant badge of the Honda Jazz RSZ. Based on the Jazz RS that debuted at 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, the RSZ variant is expected to incorporate few more sporty elements to what is already a spruced up version of the hatchback.
The Jazz RSZ is reported to be equipped with features such as Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, Emergency Brake Signal, etc. Further details about the new top end variant will be available at the time of launch. The Jazz will rival fellow premium hatchbacks like the Toyota Yaris, Ford Fiesta, VW Polo, etc in the archipelago.
The 2014 Honda Jazz for the Indonesian market would be powered by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that also powers the City and the Mobilio. The motor puts out 118 PS and 145 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a stepped CVT with paddle shifters.
The Indian version will be powered by the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol motor that is good for 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine will also be on offer most likely in the same state of tune (100 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque) as in the City and Amaze.
The new Honda Jazz would be launched in India by the first quarter of 2015.
