Regular Indian Autos Blog readers know that the Ssangyong Korando C facelift is testing in South Korea.
Test mules of the car were draped in camouflage so far but now we present to you an image of the uncomouflaged rear fascia. While the shape of the taillights remain the same, the elements are reprofiled and the turn indicators get clear lens treatment. Disappointingly, the rest of the rear fascia stays exactly the same as the current car.
From previous spyshots, we can say that the 2014 Ssangyong Korando C will receive slightly revised headlamps with integrated daytime running LED strips and bumpers. Improvements to the interior are unknown yet but don't hope for drastic differences.
Engine wise, the 5-seater SUV will continue to employ the 2.0 litre diesel engine that is available in two states of tune - 149PS and 175PS paired either to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The current Ssangyong Korando C has been spotted in India and Mahindra officials have told Indian Autos Blog earlier that the market study for the car is going on in India. When questioned about Korando C, Mr. Pravin Shah, Chief Executive – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said:
So the fact of the matter is that Rexton is on Indian roads. We keep exploring (product options) and at the right point in time we cross use offerings from Mahindra and Ssangyong stables or the brands.
