BMW officially announced the 2014 BMW 5 Series a few weeks ago with deliveries set to commence soon. In this post we take a look at the M Sport package that will also be offered as an optional extra.
The M Sport sees a better and more expensive alloy wheel design. You get 18-inch double spoke style alloy wheels which can also be specced to 19-inches.
The exteriors also get a BMW High Gloss Shadow line paint job which you can order in the many colors that are already available. Tailpipes are finished in a dark chrome while a 'M' badge is placed on the front fender.
Mechanically, you get the M Sports suspension which promises a sportier drive as it comes along with Dynamic Damper Control, Adaptive Drive and Adaptive Suspension.
Inside, you get sports seats finished in a different fabric and are lined with Alcantara. The steering wheel sees an upgrade to the M Steering Wheel with a three-spoke design. Apart from having M badges, you also have M door sills. The roof lining of the car is finished in anthracite and completes the package.
You will have to shell out an additional 3,900 euros (INR 3 lakhs) if you're upgrading your 550i to the M Sport package. Should you wish to upgrade your 520i/528i/518d/520d/525d/530d, this amount increases to 5,200 euros (INR 4 lakhs).
