Renault India's chief, Marc Nassif, told The Times of India recently that 2014 will not see any new launches from the brand, but only new variants of existing products.
Perhaps Renault India's first launch in 2014 would be the Fluence facelift. The refreshed Fluence, which was unveiled in the later part of 2012 at the Istanbul Auto Show, has already been spotted in Renault's manufacturing facility in Chennai.
Renault India's bread-and-butter model, the Duster, was also updated a couple of weeks ago internationally. The refreshed Renault Duster gets LED daytime running lights, double-optic headlights, a new grille, reprofiled taillights, and a new body color. There are no mechanical upgrades though, and we hope this time around, Renault launches the car with a 4x4 option.
Since its launch in India in the middle of last year, Renault has sold over 70,000 units of the crossover.
Finally, Renault would introduce the Koleos facelift, which debuted in June this year at the Buenos Aires Motor Show. Being a completely imported model, the Koleos does not see decent sales numbers in India.
In 2015, Renault would introduce their Lodgy MPV. The three-row people mover would be powered by the same 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine, and would compete with the likes of the upcoming Honda Mobilio and Maruti Ertiga.
