Mahindra Mojo to get restyled comprehensively?

Within the company, it seems there has been a second thought about the overall appearance of the Mahindra Mojo, the flagship motorcycle of Mahindra2wheelers.
The Mojo is a naked sportsbike which was unveiled in late 2010. Three years down the line the motorcycle still hasn’t joined the other compact sportsbikes that have already hit roads.
Expected to be launched in the Indian market in a few months’ time, the production Mahindra Mojo might not look the same as the one that was unveiled in 2010. Autocar India reports that the Mojo will feature a revised design, sporting a new fuel tank and faring panels up front.
The concept’s has an old-school twin-headlamp setup and a rooftop-like fuel tank which is not to everybody’s liking. The test mules however don’t reveal much on the design changes due to the camouflaging.
The Mahindra Mojo will be powered by a 292cc single cylinder liquid cooled 4-stroke engine that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The power and torque output stand at 25.8 bhp and about 25 Nm respectively.
The motorcycle is suspended by inverted telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Deceleration is courtesy of a 320mm disc up front and a 220mm unit aft.
The Mojo will be competing with seriously strong rivals that have ventured into the flourishing 200cc-300cc segment in India over the last couple of years. Mahindra’s old habit of coming up with killer price tags for new products isn’t showing signs of dying and that naturally rises the level of expectation on the Mojo by a notch or two.
