The mini SUV was imported into Brazil from Japan until January but now it is locally built at Souza Ramos Group's Catalan plant which previously used to build Mitsubishis. The car gets a minor facelift for the 2013 model year.

The front fascia gets a bit wider thanks to a larger bumper, grill and fender. The bonnet scoop and the 15" alloy wheels sporting graphite finish are the two other additions.

On the inside, the updated Jimny gets new head restraints, new upholstery and audio system with FM, AM, CD, MP3, WMA playback capabilities along with USB support and Bluetooth connectivity. The 2013 Suzuki Jimny is available in four trim levels namely 4ALL, 4SUN, 4SPORT and 4WORK. The car gets added equipment compared to the previous model.
