Yoshimura, a Japanese aftermarket parts manufacturer, has launched the Alpha T slip-on performance exhaust and Fender Eliminator Kit for the 2017 KTM 390 Duke.
The new exhaust not only lets the engine sound better but also gives it an additional performance. The company claims the exhaust improves the engine’s peak horsepower by 11 percent and peak torque output by 17 percent. The USA-made exhaust features a matte finish with uniform heat colouration. It is also designed for increased fatigue strength and increased scratch and stain resistance.
The fender eliminator kit comes with a housing containing four LED lights to illuminate the licence plate. Black anodised aluminium frame with silk screened Yoshimura logo holds the number plate. The exhaust costs USD 429 (INR 27,531) and the fender eliminator kit is priced at USD 149 (INR 9,562).
The 2017 KTM 390 Duke employs a 373.2 cc single cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It makes 43.5 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch.
43 mm WP inverted front forks and WP rear monoshock hold the steel trellis frame. A 320 mm front and a 230 mm rear disc, both with ABS take care of the anchorage. The bike features full-LED headlight and a TFT display.
