The price is unchanged.
PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) has launched a special edition for the Yamaha R25. The special edition's launch coincided with a Yamaha race held in a circuit in West Java.
The R25 special edition is limited to only 100 units, but costs the same as the regular R25 at 53 million Indonesian Rupiah (INR 2.53 lakhs). The most significant change is the addition of a racing exhaust. Apart from this, the rest of the changes are purely cosmetic.
The alloy rims are painted in white to match the color of the lower fairing, and the white stripe that runs on the tank. Painted in a race livery, the R25 special edition is expected to appeal to the enthusiast, though the Indonesian media report that YIMM has restricted the units to a handful considering the fan-following for the motorcycle.
There are no changes to the mechanicals of the motorcycle. The R25 continues to be powered by a parallel twin-cylinder 250 cc engine capable of 36 PS (35.28 bhp) at 12,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm, matched to a 6-speed transmission.
