Expected to be launched in India next year.
The Yamaha R15 is currently in its second generation and expected to enter its third generation later this year. A set of speculative renderings from MOTOBLAST show how the Yamaha R15 V3.0 may look like.
The rendering hints an evolutionary design, but still an extensive one. The redesigned fairing, headlamps, turn indicators and rear-view mirrors give a significantly sleeker and aggressive appeal to the R15's front-end. The R15 V3.0 can be expected to have cues borrowed from the Yamaha R25.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0, internally known under the codename 'Yamaha BG7', is likely to have the same mechanical configuration as the current generation model, albeit with substantial upgrades for a more involving ride and better handling. The Yamaha R15 V2.0 is powered by a 149.8 cc single-cylinder engine that develops 17 PS and 15 Nm of torque. The revised engine should be mated to a 6-speed transmission like now.
