Launched last year by Alessandro Del Piero.
Piaggio showcased the Vespa SXL 150 and the Vespa VXL 150 at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida. The models were launched in India in September last year in the presence of Vespa’s new brand ambassador and Italian football star, Alessandro Del Piero.
The two Vespa 150 scooters are powered by an all-new 150 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with three valves, that produces 11.6 PS at 7,000 rpm and 11.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm, mated to a CVT. The models feature a new front fascia compared to the previous Vespa, new seats, new 11-inch alloy wheels, wider tubeless tyres, a disc brake at the front and a multi-information display beneath the speedometer.
The Vespa SXL 150 is characterised by a rectangular headlamp, rectangular rear view mirrors and black alloy wheels, and the VXL 150 is identified by circular headlamp and mirrors, and silver alloy wheels.
The SXL is available in white, red, matte black and orange, while the VXL is offered in white, red, matte black, yellow and green. The Vespa 150 variants can be kitted up with official accessories such as a front chrome bumper guard, a chrome perimeter kit and an impact resistant visor.
