The TVS Scooty Zest will borrow its 110 cc engine from the Wego and Jupiter.
The TVS Scooty Zest which premiered at the Auto Expo earlier this year is scheduled to launch on August 20, reports Overdrive.in.
The Scooty Pep+ which is widely preferred by female customers has been running for long without any significant updates and the Zest is expected to renew the automatic scooter's appeal.
The Scooty Zest employs an evolutionary design with every single body panel going under the knife, but the identity stays intact. Upfront, the new scooter gets a revised headlamp, apron and instrument console. The seat is now larger and the tail section is all new, complete with new grab rails and a LED taillight.
The Scooty Zest is powered by the same 110 cc CVTi petrol engine that powers the Wego and Jupiter and hence borrows the silencer from the duo. In terms of dimensions, the Scooty Zest is a tad smaller than the Wego which is marketed as a unisex scooter.
Power and torque figures of the motor are expected to be the same as the Wego and Jupiter at 7.88 bhp and 8 Nm respectively. A CVT would transmit the power.
With the demand for automatic scooters on the rise, the new TVS Scooty Zest is touted to improve TVS' sales volume significantly.
