TVS has invested INR 300 crore towards the development of the new Apache.

The all-new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V made its world premiere today in simultaneous events in India and Indonesia. For the Indian market, the Apache RTR 200 4V will launch in a range of variants with prices starting at INR 88,990, ex-Showroom New Delhi.

The TVS Apache 200 will be offered in two variants - one with a carburettor and the other with a fuel-injection system. They have peak power outputs of 20.5 PS and 21 PS respectively.

TVS has invested INR 300 Crore towards the new Apache project. It is powered by an all-new 197.75 cc, SOHC, four-valve, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine which develops 20.5 PS with a carburetor and 21 PS with an electronic fuel injection system. Both variants output 18.1 Nm of torque.

The fuel-injected variant takes 3.9 seconds to do 0-60 km/h and hits a top-speed of 129 km/h. The carburetor model takes 3.95 seconds for the dash to 60 km/h and tops out at 127 km/h. Both models take 12 seconds to do 0-100 km/h.

The FI version and the ABS variant of the TVS Apache RTR 200 will be introduced in the coming months.

The Apache RTR 200 4V is equipped with a 270 mm petal disc up front and a 240 mm petal disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS being an option. As standard, the motorcycle is shod with TVS Remora 90/90-17 and 130/70-17 tubeless tyres at the front and rear respectively, though Pirelli tyres can be specced as an option.

The new Apache measures 2,050 mm in length, 790 mm in width, 1,105 mm in height and 1,353 mm in wheelbase. It gets a 12 liter fuel tank and a ground clearance of 180 mm.
