Debuts new 2.4-liter and 2.8-liter GD diesel engines.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor unveiled the second generation Toyota Innova - dubbed the Toyota Innova Crysta - at the Auto Expo 2016. The first gen Toyota Innova could be retained for the commercial market.

The Innova Crysta measures 4,735 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,795 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Compared to the first gen Innova, it has grown by 150 mm in length, 70 mm in width and 35 mm in height, although the wheelbase is identical. Exterior features include LED headlamps, 17 inch alloy wheels, chrome window lining, and a bold 2-slat grille with hexagonal intake
Inside, the new Innova Crysta steps up the premium quotient with a host of new features such as smart entry system with start/stop button, auto-close for tailgate, airbags as standard along with ABS, EBD and BA, automatic climate control with rear cooler, 7-inch audio system with navigation, cruise control, powered driver’s seat, front seat with easy slide from rear, 1-touch tumble for 2nd row seats and 1-touch third row space up seats.

As of now, engine options are yet to be confirmed. It could be launched with a choice between a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 139 PS and 183 Nm of torque, 2.4-liter GD diesel engine producing 149 PS and 342 Nm of torque with the 5-speed manual transmission or 360 Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission, or even a bigger 2.8-liter GD diesel variant with 177 PS, as this was spotted for the first time at the Auto Expo.
