Toyota Innova Crysta showcased with 2.8-liter diesel engine – Auto Expo 2016

Same unit produces 177 hp in Fortuner and Hilux.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has showcased the Toyota Innova Crysta with a 2.8-liter GD diesel engine, which is a first for the second generation Toyota Innova. The diesel variant sold in Indonesia is only available with a 2.4-liter GD diesel engine.

This is the first time that the 2.8-liter GD diesel engine is featured in the second gen Toyota Innova.

The company has not disclosed the specs of the 2.8-liter GD diesel engine under the hood of the Toyota Innova Crysta, but is expected to be identical to the output figures of the same engine in the 2016 Toyota Fortuner and 2016 Toyota Hilux – 177 PS and 450 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed AT gearbox.

The Toyota Innova Crysta “Z” grade comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, smart entry system with start/stop button, auto-close for tailgate, chrome window lining, airbags as standard along with ABS, EBD and BA, automatic climate control with rear cooler, 7-inch audio system with navigation, cruise control, powered driver’s seat, front seat with easy slide from rear, 1-touch tumble for 2nd row seats and 1-touch third row space up seats.

The Innova Crysta measures 4,735 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,795 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Compared to the outgoing model, it has grown by 150 mm in length, 70 mm in width and 35 mm in height, although the wheelbase remains unchanged.
