Engine options yet to be confirmed.
According to a report from ET Auto, the Toyota Innova Crysta is expected to launch in India in mid-2016. It will be locally produced at TKM's plant in Karnataka at high localization levels, reportedly.
Should the ban in Delhi NCR extend from March 31,2016, Toyota could introduce a petrol variant of the Innova Crysta, which packs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 139 PS and 183 Nm of torque, and paired with 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission in the Indonesian market.
Otherwise it will be offered with the 2.4-liter GD diesel engine producing 149 PS and 342 Nm of torque with the 5-speed manual transmission or 360 Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission. Also on the cards is a bigger 2.8-liter GD diesel variant with 177 PS, as this was spotted for the first time at the Auto Expo.
The Innova Crysta measures 4,735 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,795 mm mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Compared to the regular Innova, it has grown by 150 mm in length, 70 mm mm in width and 35 mm in height, while the wheelbase remains unchanged.
