Will be positioned between the Etios and Corolla.
Car and Driver Brasil has created a speculative rendering of the Toyota Etios C sedan, which is reported to launch in Brazil later this year. It's also expected to launch in India in 2017-18, thus filling the gap between the Etios and Corolla.
As rumors suggest, the rendering integrates cues from the Toyota Vios sedan, and its relationship may be similar to that of the Renault Captur and Kaptur. The Etios C could be christened as the 'Yaris' in the Brazilian market and prices are speculated to hover between R$ 65,000 (INR 13.41 Lakhs) and R$ 75,000 (INR 15.47 Lakhs).
The highlight of the Etios C sedan is that it is based on the Toyota Etios's platform, which is localized in emerging markets like Brazil and India. So the Etios C will not require a huge investment for its development and production in these markets.

Previously, the Toyota Vios was reported to arrive in India, and has also been spotted testing on Indian roads several times. However it’s based on the Toyota B platform, which requires a fresh round of investments for its localization in India. As Toyota does not plan on fresh investments in new platforms in India, the Etios C will be TKM's product to compete against popular premium sedans like the Honda City, VW Vento and Maruti Ciaz.
