To replace the Tata Indigo eCS in the personal segment.
Team-BHP member, Karts, spotted the Tata Zica-based compact sedan testing on the way to Satara, Maharashtra. It is expected to break cover at the Auto Expo 2016 next month.
To replace the Indigo eCS, the Tata Zica sedan is rumored to be called Tata Sway. While the front end and one half of the side profile is identical to the Zica hatchback, it differs from the C-Pillar onwards. Like most sub-4m sedans, it adopts a stubby boot and has short overhangs.
The Zica sedan will carryover all the features from the Zica hatchback, which include dual airbags, ABS, three spoke multifunction steering wheel and an 8-speaker 2-DIN audio system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity.
The engine lineup will include an all new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine producing 85 PS and 114 Nm, and a 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq diesel motor with 70 PS and 140 Nm. Both would initially be offered only with five-speed manual transmissions, while an AMT option could be introduced much later.

At launch, the Zica sedan is expected to be the least expensive sub-4m sedan in the market, and rival base variants of the Hyundai Xcent, Ford Figo Aspire, Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze.
