Could be the third launch next year after Zica-based sedan.
The Tata Nexon has been snapped testing in Wakad, Pune by a Motorbeam reader, Enosh. The compact SUV is anticipated to be unveiled in its production guise at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida in February.
Unveiled as the Tata Nexon Concept at the 2014 Auto Expo, the car has started testing indicating that it could be launched in the coming months. It will be positioned above the Tata Zest as a B-segment crossover, rivaling models such as the Ford EcoSport, the Mahindra TUV300 and the upcoming Maruti YBA (codename) which could be called the Maruti Vitara Brezza.
While the 'Tata Nexon' is the name of the concept, the project is reported to be called the 'Tata Osprey' and the codename of the car is said to be 'Tata X104'. The SUV is based on the Tata Vista’s X1 platform and will duck under the 4 metre length.
