A twitter handle that goes by the name CarM has shared images of the brochure of the Tata Nexon. The scans detail the variant wise features of the compact SUV along with specifications and colour options. Bookings are already open, and the Tata Nexon launch will take place on September 21.
Four trims are on offer - XE, XM, XT, and XZ+. Features common across all trims include Ivory white accents on the front fog lamps, side beltline and the tailgate, LED tail lights, full fabric seat upholstery, glovebox with utility mouldings and flat folding rear seats and multi drive modes. Standard safety features include dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.
The base XE trim of the Nexon features single tone wheel covers, manual air conditioning, and front only power windows. In addition to this, the XM trim offers dual tone wheel covers, a Harman sourced audio unit with 4-speakers and AUX, USB and Bluetooth support, steering mounted audio and phone controls, and ConnectNext app suite smartphone integration. It also gets rear parking sensors, remote central locking, all four power windows and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
Over and above the features offered on the XM variant, Tata Nexon XT gets roof rails, body colour door handles and ORVMs, a shark fin antenna, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electrically retractable ORVMs and a cooled and illuminated glovebox. Features like smart key with push button start, height adjustable driver seat and front seatbelts, reverse parking camera, cornering fog lamps, day/night IRVM, rear defogger, are exclusive to the top end XZ+ trim.
The 6.5-inch dashtop floating touchscreen with Android Auto support and voice recognition is only available in this trim. Other features unique to the XZ+ variant are projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, central console with sliding armrest and sliding tambour door and 60:40 split rear seats with centre armrest.
Tata is offering the Nexon in five colour options - Moroccan Blue, Vermont Red, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey, and Calgary White. The dual tone paint scheme is restricted to the first two colour options and available only on the XZ+ trim. Also, the Calgary White paint shade gets Sonic Silver painted highlights in place of Ivory White.
Specifications of the Tata Nexon had already been made public in July. Engine options include 110 PS 1.2 L Revotron petrol and 110 PS 1.5 L Revotroq diesel with torque outputs of 170 Nm and 260 Nm respectively. A 6-speed manual gearbox is the sole transmission option for now. The Tata Nexon is 3,994 mm long, 1,811 mm wide, and 1,607 mm tall and rides on a 2,498 mm wheelbase. The trunk volume stands at 350 litres, and the fuel tank capacity is 44 litres.
