As per a report published by Autocar India, the Tata Nexon launch will take place on 21 September. The Tata Nexon price and fuel efficiency figures will be revealed at the time of launch, which takes place more than a couple of months after dealerships started accepting bookings, unofficially.

The Nexon has already started arriving at dealerships. While we only got a chance to sample the top-end XZ+ variant of the Tata Nexon, lower end trims on display in showrooms reveal more details about the features list. XE, XM, and XT trims of the Tata Nexon miss out on features like 6.5-inch touchscreen, projector headlamps and LED DRLs. Automatic climate control, steering mounted controls, remote key entry body colour mirrors and door handles are available XT onwards.

We're expecting competitive pricing from Tata Motors for the Nexon. A starting price of INR 6.50 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base petrol XE trim. The price of the top end Tata Nexon XZ+ diesel could touch 11 lakhs (on road). Bookings for the compact SUV are currently open across India. Prospective customers can reserve a vehicle for a deposit of INR 11,000.
