For cities where the diesel ban is in effect, Tata is reportedly working on a sub-2.0L diesel engine based on the current 2.2L VARICOR unit, which could be a reason why Tata hasn't launched the Hexa yet. It will be paired to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, and an AWD system is likely to be offered in top-end grades.
